Dictatober

Nothing is more horrifying than a head of state turning their nation to a fearful dictatorship with their citizens submitting to the leader just to survive. Human Rights violations are not a joke, there is nothing to laugh at a menacing head of state inflicting harrowing torture methods just because they didn't smile hard enough at their resounding speech. Every October (even if a fact card ends up being uploaded outside of October), I showcase a dictator from history or even the present day or even one of their loyal toadies and talk about their rise to power, their heinous actions and depending if they are still in power or if they have been overthrown or died in office, where are they now. Many of them, especially WW2 dictators, have shaped history and their actions must be a reminder of what happens when we tolerate far-right policies like how we tolerate democratic policies. Of course, we also have far-left dictators who ended up making the policies that were initally for the people all about themselves instead. Regardless what side of the political spectrum a dictator is on, if they are commiting ethnic cleansing, genocide, occupying another state's territory, instilling fear of those who don't fit a nationwide standard and just overall masstive bullies, a dictator can create a dictatorship and all of the world's human rights organisations will be kept on guard for all of the violations being committed.
