JFK Assassination/ Assassination of John F. Kennedy

On 22nd November 1963, US President John F Kennedy became the 4th and curently last president of the United States to be assassinated with Ronald Reagan coming close to assassination in 1981. JFK was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald as the presidental limo drove down Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. He was shot once in the back and once in the head. Within 30 minutes of reaching Packard Hospital, JFK died at the age of 46. Following a state funeral on 25 November, he was buried at Arlington National Cemtery in Washington D.C. His death overshadowed the deaths of writers C.S Lewis and Aldous Huxley who both died on the same day and the premier of the now long running British sci-fi show Doctor Who which premiered a day later on 23rd November 1963.
