Why are Greek houses blue and white?

If you have been to Greece or seen Greece in the media, you would notice that their
houses are white and blue. Why is that? Well it's because a dictatorship in the 1960s made it required by law for all houses to have these colours because they supported political agenda, even after the dictatorship ended, houses in Greece today are still painted white and blue.
