Grace Kelly
Before there was Meghan Markle, there was Grace Kelly who after appearing in films for 6 years, left it all for become Princess Grace of Monaco when she married Prince Rainer of Monaco. Monaco is a small country on the French Rivera that is ruled by a prince. The couple met at a photo shoot in 1955 and they married a year later in Monaco. The Monegasques (people native to Monaco) adored Grace and when director Alfred Hitchcock wanted her to return to the silver screen as a compulsive thief, they weren't happy in fear that the film would ruin the respect Monaco had. She had 1 son, who later became Albert II, Prince of Monaco and two girls Caroline and Stephanie with Rainer. Grace tragically met her end in a car crash and in her wounded daughter Stephanie's place was Diana, Princess of Wales who would later die from injuries sustained in a car crash 15 years later. Today, she and her husband Rainer (who never remarried) are resting in peace in St Nicholas Cathedral in Monaco.
