Anti Vietnam War Protests

Due to footage being broadcast on television where harrowing Vietnam War images were shown nearly unedited, the shocked and angered public decided to protest against the war. These protests included refusing to be drafted and the birth of hippie culture. Musicians John Lennon and Yoko Ono famously stayed in bed in protest. The protests cost Lyndon B Johnson's presidency it eventually saw the withdrawal of US troops from Vietnam.
