Haiti Earthquake 2010

On 12th January 2010, the small and unlucky nation of Haiti was rocked by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake caused by the Caribbean and North American plates sliding plates each other on a transform plate boundary which Haiti lies on. The capital of Haiti Port-au-Prince sustained significant damage. Many countries gave humanitarian aid following the earthquake but Haiti is still recovering from the earthquake 10 years on.
