Following in the footsteps of his father who was elected to office as a conservative, Rob Ford was Mayor of Toronto from 2010 to 2014. He
spoke his mind to make up for his lack of political experience and had some choice words about government spending when it came to AIDS.

Rob Ford started building a name for himself by getting into intense debates with colleagues over a plethora of issues. He took the internet
by storm when in 2013 a rumour began to spread that there was video footage of him smoking crack cocaine (an illegal drug that can be
smoked). Like all politicians when faced with scandals, he denied it and with that internet users started looking into his past (like drunk driving
in the US state of Florida). It seemed like every day, the internet found out he did another scandalous activity. Eventually he admitted to the
drug use in a now viral video. He dropped out of running for another term as mayor when a cancerous tumour was discovered in his
abdomen and eventually died of liposarcoma which is a rare cancer which originates in body fat in March 2016.
