Gerald Ford's stair tumble

Since 46th US President Joe Biden slipped while going up the steps of the presidential plane of Air Force One on 19th March 2021, perhaps it's time we tell the current generation that Biden's not the only POTUS to slip on airplane steps on camera Despite being a star American football player at the University of Michigan, Gerald Ford would never live one thing out of many events during his unelected presidency and that was his slipping moments. The 38th US President had an inner ear problem as he got older which affected his balance. One iconic and embarrassing incident was when he and Betty Ford (his wife would set up a residential treatment facility or drug users in her name) were walking down the steps after arriving in Austria on a rainy day in 1975 when he slipped and fell down the stairs like as if it was a bumpy slide. After that, his legacy image was sealed with comedian Chevy Chase mocking him on Saturday Night Live and even the Simpsons having him fall on his face in one episode. Even after his 2006 death, we still remember him for his stumbles as one of the many events in his short presidency.
